We have been selected as a partner in a prestigious European Union Horizon project dedicated to additive manufacturing.

E-LEARNING PLATFORM AND COMMUNICATION PLAN.

Coordinated by Sabanci University in Istanbul, the Diameter project (Sustainable and Circular Production System based on Additive Manufacturing) aims to help combat climate change.

To do this, it is essential to develop and implement innovative solutions, strategies, and approaches to the circular economy, as well as transition to more sustainable production and recycling methods. In this context, the EU-funded DIAMETER project aims to create the solutions and strategies needed to facilitate the efficient and sustainable transition of the metals manufacturing sector to a circular economy. The project will establish a hybrid production system that combines additive manufacturing and digital tools to optimize processes. Furthermore, it will develop an AI-assisted algorithm to calculate and evaluate the ecological and economic impacts of various methods. Finally, these features will be integrated into two platforms to encourage adoption of these solutions and provide training to workers.

Another key aspect of our contribution is dissemination, which includes developing an editorial plan for the project's online and offline communication, as well as participating in industry trade shows.

We have also adopted an innovative approach in using ILIAS not only as an LMS but also as a CMS for the project website, allowing for the public display of some e-learning content and simplifying information management without the need for separate environments.

The project officially began with the kick-off meeting in Istanbul and is progressing in line with the deadlines set for each consortium partner.
